Early in 2019, Webroy appointed American Systems Registrar (ASR) as our new certification body for IATF 16949:2016 and ISO 9001:2015 and began the transfer process from SABS. In addition through a project sponsored by the Automotive Supply Chain Competitiveness Initiative (ASCCI), Quality Consultant Nigel Michaels has been brought onboard the quality team to aid in improving Webroy's built-in quality and ensuring the quality systems in place are aligned to our customer expectations and the IATF and ISO standards.
Webroy took the strategic decision to have the quality management system for our non-automotive products such as poultry equipment, shelving, wire mesh lockers, wire forms and springs cer tified to the ISO 9001:2015 standard. This is a first for these products and processes and allows us to offer the same high standards of quality expected by our automotive customers to our non-automotive customers.
Following months of preparation, we are pleased to announce that Webroy's quality management system has been re-certified to the IATF 16949:2016 and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
